SN 2024aecx Identified as Type IIb Supernova
Astronomers observed SN 2024aecx, a recently detected supernova in galaxy NGC 3521, and concluded it is a Type IIb supernova based on its spectral and light curve features, including a double-peaked light curve and early hydrogen signatures, making it one of the brightest in its class.
