13-year-old boy tragically dies after being hit by car while sledding
A 13-year-old Iowa boy, Adam McWherter, died 10 days after being hit by an SUV while sledding down his driveway with a friend. Despite receiving quick care, he suffered severe injuries including a broken clavicle, pelvic bone fracture, spinal fracture, and strained ligament in his neck. Adam, described as a sports enthusiast who loved spending time with family and friends, was pronounced dead after the tragic accident. The driver of the SUV reported not seeing the boy until it was too late, and no charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
