Tragic Sledding Accident Claims Lives of Two Teens at Copper Mountain Ski Resort

Two teenagers from Illinois, aged 17 and 18, were killed in a sledding accident at Copper Mountain Ski Resort. The incident occurred when they rode tandem down the halfpipe and launched off a large snowbank at the bottom of the halfpipe, causing blunt force trauma. Despite immediate medical attention, they could not be revived. The investigation is ongoing.
