The NCAA has officially approved the use of helmet communication and sideline tablets in college football, as well as the addition of a two-minute warning for the second and fourth quarters. Teams will be allowed to have one player on the field with helmet communication technology, and up to 10 coach-to-player devices can be brought to a game. The use of tablets to view in-game video has also been approved, and a two-minute warning will be implemented to prevent back-to-back TV timeouts and change end-of-game scenarios.
