British comedian Russell Brand has been charged with two additional sex offenses, including rape and sexual assault, adding to five existing charges from April. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 20, with a trial for the earlier charges set for June. Brand has denied the allegations, claiming he is not a rapist, and the investigation continues with support for the victims.
Ten men, including a middle school teacher, a nonprofit executive, and an illegal immigrant, were arrested in Ohio on sex charges as part of a human trafficking sting. The arrests were made by the Northeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, and nine of the men were charged with engaging in prostitution. One of the men arrested was a registered Tier III sex offender, and additional charges are expected in the case. The operation also identified seven potential human trafficking victims who were given resources from multiple agencies.
