Measles Alert Issued for Travelers at Seattle Airport
An infectious measles case was reported at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in mid-May, prompting health officials to warn travelers to check their vaccination status. The infected traveler, a resident of Arizona, likely contracted measles in Europe. With over 140 cases reported in the US this year, more than double the 2023 total, authorities emphasize the importance of vaccination, especially as measles is highly contagious.
