Avian Flu Outbreak Hits Reid Park Zoo, Multiple Birds Test Positive
Three birds at Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, Arizona, have tested positive for avian influenza, a contagious and often deadly virus that affects birds. While it poses a low risk to humans, the zoo has closed its aviaries to the public as a safety precaution. The other birds have been tested and do not appear to have been affected at this time.
