Samsung is nearing the launch of its new rugged smartphone, the Galaxy XCover 7, which has been spotted in certification databases. The device is expected to feature a 4,000mAh battery with 25W fast wired charging, NFC, and 5G compatibility. Leaks suggest it will have a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, 6GB RAM, thinner bezels, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Samsung has released the Galaxy S23 Tactical Edition, a rugged smartphone designed for military and security forces. It features a 6.1-inch display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 256GB storage, and 8GB RAM. The device includes software features such as Stealth Mode for off-grid communications, settings for night vision devices, and Covert Lock for shutting down radios. The price is not publicly listed, but it is expected to be expensive and available only through select channels.
Ulefone has revealed more details about its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Armor 23 Ultra, at the IFA 2023 expo. The device will feature three 50MP cameras, a 120Hz display, and "Super Fast" charging capabilities. It will also have a rugged build and IP68-69K/MIL-STD-810H certification. Despite its satellite messaging capabilities, the phone is designed to appeal to a wider audience with its camera features. The Armor 23 Ultra will be available in Europe from December 2023, starting at €600 (~US$647).
