Boston Marathon legend Rick Hoyt passes away at 61.

Rick Hoyt, who competed in over a thousand road races using a wheelchair pushed by his father, Dick Hoyt, has died at the age of 61 due to complications with his respiratory system. The father-son duo competed in nearly every Boston Marathon from 1980 through 2014 and completed more than 1,100 races together, including marathons, triathlons, and duathlons. Rick Hoyt was born with cerebral palsy and the inability to move his limbs or speak, but he communicated through a specialized computer. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in special education in 1993.
