Mattias Skjelmose of Lidl-Trek won the second edition of the Maryland Cycling Classic in Baltimore, taking a solo victory with over two minutes on the chase group. Skjelmose attacked from a five-rider front group and crossed the finish line in dominant fashion. Neilson Powless finished second, followed by Hugo Houle in third place.
The 2023 USA Cycling Amateur Road National Championships were held in Roanoke, Virginia, with Ama Nsek, Owen Cole, and Enzo Hincapie among the winners. Brandon Feehery won the amateur men's category 1 criterium championship in downtown Roanoke. The Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classic took place in New York City, with Emily Singleton and Jamual John winning the women's and men's races, respectively. Gravel Locos Pueblo was cancelled due to a conflict with the nearby Rad Dirt Fest in Trinidad. Team Jayco AlUla will return to the Maryland Cycling Classic, along with two other WorldTour teams and five additional teams.
