Disney has closed several major rides and attractions at the Magic Kingdom, including Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan's Flight, and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. The closures have left guests with limited options, although there are still other experiences and rides available. The hope is that these attractions will reopen soon, allowing guests to fully enjoy their visit to the Magic Kingdom.

Six Flags Great America is opening for the 2023 season with park improvements and new events, including the "Flavors of the World Festival," "Neon Nights Festival," and "Viva La Fiesta Festival." The park has also added new food items, such as loaded nachos and chicken and waffles, and a bubble tea station. Enhancements throughout the park include fresh paint, new shaded areas, and nearly 90 new benches. The park is also working on a major new ride, but nothing has been announced yet.
