Crews will resume their search for missing teenager Brissa Romero after her car was found in a retention pond in Vernon Hills, Illinois. The 17-year-old Carpentersville resident has been missing for a week, and her family remains hopeful as authorities continue their efforts. The car was discovered after cell phone data analysis led investigators to the pond, where they also found a backpack believed to belong to Romero. Video footage from a nearby fast food restaurant showed Romero parking, walking in and out of the establishment, and driving away alone. Police believe she may have been unfamiliar with the area and accidentally drove into the pond. The search will continue, and a $14,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to her whereabouts.
