Multiple Fatalities Reported in Submerged Vehicle Incidents at South Carolina Retention Ponds

An 85-year-old woman, identified as Doris T. Gallardo, was found dead inside her submerged vehicle in a retention pond near Ridgeville, South Carolina. First responders located the vehicle at the Walmart Distribution Center and pronounced Gallardo dead at the scene. An autopsy determined that her cause of death was an accidental drowning.
