"MDMA: A Promising Breakthrough in PTSD Treatment"

MDMA-assisted therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) could receive federal approval in 2024, and Colorado has already passed a law allowing its use. A recent study sponsored by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies found that MDMA, also known as ecstasy or molly, combined with talk therapy can reduce PTSD symptoms. The study's results are expected to be submitted for FDA approval later this year. If approved, Colorado's existing law would allow the use of MDMA in the state. Colorado has been at the forefront of drug decriminalization, having previously legalized cannabis and decriminalized psilocybin mushrooms.
