ABC has canceled The Rookie: Feds and passed on The Good Doctor spinoff, The Good Lawyer, as the network finalizes its schedule for the remainder of the 2023-24 broadcast season following the end of the actors and writers strikes. With production set to resume soon, ABC decided not to proceed with a second season of Feds and opted against moving forward with The Good Lawyer, which was a back-door pilot of The Good Doctor. The cancellations come as Disney plans to cut $2 billion in costs, with scripted originals being more expensive to produce than unscripted programming.
