Rising Cases of 'White Lung Pneumonia' in Children: A Mother's Frightening Experience
The Warren County Health District in Ohio has reported a spike in pediatric pneumonia cases, with 145 cases between the ages of three and 14 reported since August. One mother shared her son's frightening experience, where he exhibited symptoms of mycoplasma pneumonia, also known as "white lung syndrome." The local hospital was overwhelmed with cases, and pediatricians struggled to treat the rising number of patients. Health officials have stated that the outbreak is not linked to any viruses circulating in China, and there is no evidence connecting it to other surges. Symptoms of the illness include cough, fever, fatigue, sore throat, and headaches. Parents are urged to seek medical attention promptly if their children show any signs of the pneumonia strain.
