Thousands Rally in Hungary to Support Orbán Ahead of EU Election

Tens of thousands marched in Budapest in support of Prime Minister Viktor Orban ahead of the European Parliament election, which he frames as a choice between peace and war. "Massive Rally Honors Genocide Victims"

Thousands of people participated in a peace march through the forests of eastern Bosnia to commemorate the 1995 Srebrenica massacre, Europe's only acknowledged genocide since World War II. The march retraced the route taken by Bosniak men and boys who were slaughtered as they tried to flee Srebrenica. The event comes amid ongoing ethnic tensions, with Bosnian Serbs pushing for more independence. Despite denials from Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik, two UN courts have ruled that genocide took place in Srebrenica. Over 6,600 victims have been found and buried at a memorial cemetery, with 30 more to be interred on Tuesday.
