Samsung's Galaxy A33 smartphone is now receiving the Android 14 update in additional countries across Asia and Europe, with firmware version A336BXXU7DWL1. The update includes new features such as a redesigned Quick Panel, new widgets, and a revamped Camera app, but still carries the November 2023 security patch. Users can update their devices through the Settings app or manually download and flash the firmware using a Windows computer and the Odin tool. The Galaxy A33, launched with Android 12, is expected to receive up to Android 16 as per Samsung's update policy.
Samsung has rolled out the Android 14 update for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) in Europe, with firmware version P613XXU4CWL1. The update, which does not include the January 2024 security patch, brings Samsung's One UI 6.0 with new features such as a redesigned Quick Panel, new widgets, and improvements to stock apps. Users can download the update via the Settings app or manually with the Odin tool. This is the second major update for the tablet, which launched with Android 12 and received an Android 13 update later in 2022.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 5G in India, the first smartphones to feature the Android 14-based One UI 6.0. Both models offer a range of features including high-resolution Super AMOLED screens, multiple cameras, and 5G connectivity, with the promise of four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates. The A15 5G and A25 5G are available in different storage configurations and colors, with discounts available for SBI cardholders. Despite their dated U-shaped notch design, they offer good value for their price point, especially considering the software update support.
