Terrence Butler, a forward on the Drexel University men's basketball team, was found dead inside his on-campus apartment. The cause of death is currently unknown. Butler, a junior, had played in eight games over two seasons due to injuries and was named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. The university expressed condolences and offered counseling services to students in need of support. The La Salle men's basketball team also released a statement expressing their condolences.
