"Mark Your Calendars: Don't Miss October's 'Ring of Fire' Solar Eclipse in the U.S."

The "ring of fire" annular solar eclipse on October 14, 2023, will be visible from eight states in the U.S. southwest, and there are several organized observing events where people can watch the eclipse with others. These events include "Eclipse Into Nature" in Klamath Falls, Oregon; the Ring of Fire Eclipse Festival in Ely, Nevada; an event at Goosenecks State Park in Utah; an event at Snow College Richfield Campus fields in Utah; an event at Rainbow Park Observatory in Rio Rancho, New Mexico; an event at Mission San José in Texas; an event at Big Spring State Park in Texas; and an event at Kickapoo Cavern State Park in Texas. Solar eclipse glasses must be worn at all times, and it is advised to book ahead for these events.
