Poll Finds Most Voters Don’t See Benefit in Trump’s Second Term
A New York Times/Siena poll of 1,625 registered voters (Jan 12–17, 2026) finds only 32% say the country is better off compared with a year ago, 49% say worse; voters broadly disapprove of Trump’s handling of the economy, immigration, the Russia-Ukraine war, and Venezuela, and 51% say his policies have made life less affordable; Republicans remain supportive of him despite these views.
