Christian Rayo, who was awaiting trial for a murder charge related to a New Year's Eve chase that resulted in the death of a 12-year-old girl, has died in custody at the Harris County jail in Texas. Rayo suffered a medical emergency and was pronounced dead at a hospital. His death is being investigated by the Texas Rangers. This marks the 18th inmate death in Harris County custody this year and the third in four days.
