"North Carolina Unveils Plan for Statewide EV Charging Station Network"
The North Carolina Department of Transportation has released a map showing proposed locations for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to be funded through a federal program. Businesses can apply for funds to build and operate these stations, which will help advance clean transportation and provide economic opportunities. The first phase will focus on installing DC Fast Chargers along interstates and major highways, with plans to deploy them every 50 miles and be open 24/7. The state anticipates building out the electric charging infrastructure over the next seven years.
