President Biden will award the National Medal of Arts to Mindy Kaling, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Gladys Knight, Bruce Springsteen, Vera Wang, and others for their contributions to the arts. The National Humanities Medal will be awarded to Bryan Stevenson, Amy Tan, Colson Whitehead, Henrietta Mann, and others.
