Coney Island, a historic amusement park in Cincinnati, will permanently close after the holiday season. The property, including Sunlite Pool, has been sold to the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Music & Event Management, Inc. (MEMI), who plan to build a state-of-the-art music and entertainment venue. The new venue aims to create a unique atmosphere and attract top acts, potentially including artists like Taylor Swift and U2. The CSO and MEMI are also in negotiations with event operators to bring more cultural events to the area. The venue is expected to open in spring 2026.
