To get a mount in Diablo 4, players must complete the Donan's Favor quest, which becomes available in Act 4. The Old Nell Steed mount is free, while the Grey Steed and Mottled Steed can be purchased for 20,000 gold each. Mounts can be called using the D-pad, galloped using the right trigger, and used to pick up loot and activate Shrines. Blizzard Entertainment is bringing Dragonriding to the rest of Azeroth in the upcoming Patch 10.1.5 for World of Warcraft, with over 100 variants of Dragonriding mounts and animations for old drake mounts. The patch will also introduce a new megadungeon, new Evoker spec, new events and quests, and improvements for Warlocks and Mages. The release date is yet to be announced, but expected in the summer.

Blizzard has confirmed that players won't be able to ride mounts in Diablo IV until they have beaten the main questline with at least one character. Once unlocked, mounts can be used with all other characters in all game modes and can be customized with different armors and trophies. The studio also shared more information on loot and respeccing in the upcoming game. Diablo IV is set to launch on June 6, 2023, on multiple platforms.
