Atomos has released the Ninja and Ninja Ultra, the successors to the Ninja V and Ninja V+ monitor recorders. Both models feature H.265 recording capabilities in addition to ProRes, ProRes RAW, and DNxHD codecs. They are powered by the new AtomOS 11 operating system, which includes monitoring tools like EL Zone and ARRI False Color. The Ninja Ultra offers 8K ProRes RAW recording and the ability to simultaneously record ProRes RAW and H.265. The Atomos Connect module allows for wireless screen sharing and remote viewing. The Ninja retails for $599/€599 and the Ninja Ultra for $799/€799, with shipping starting in early September 2023.
