Originally Published 2 years ago — by The Hacker News

The Android banking trojan known as SpyNote has been found to have various information-gathering capabilities, including recording audio and phone calls, logging keystrokes, and capturing screenshots. It spreads through SMS phishing campaigns and hides its presence on the device to avoid detection. The malware also employs diehard services to resist termination attempts and prevents users from uninstalling it through abuse of accessibility APIs. Victims are left with no option but to perform a factory reset, resulting in data loss.
