A retired Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper, Michael Griffin, was killed while assisting at a crash scene in Panola County. Griffin stopped to check on one of the drivers involved in the crash when the vehicle rolled on top of him, resulting in his death. Griffin was known for his dedication as a public servant and law enforcement officer. The crash is currently under investigation.

Three individuals have been identified after a fatal two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 84 in Jones County, Mississippi. The deceased include a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old who were riding in a Range Rover SUV, as well as a 21-year-old in a pickup truck. Both vehicles were fully engulfed in flames, and all three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is currently under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Martin Bruno, Jr., a 78-year-old man from Slidell, was identified as the victim of a fatal RV crash on I-10 in Harrison County. The motorhome he was driving left the roadway and crashed into trees, resulting in his death at the scene. His passenger, Eileen Bruno, 77, sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to a hospital. The crash is being investigated by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

A pedestrian was killed in an auto collision with a Mississippi Highway Patrol vehicle on US49 in Forrest County, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. and the woman was pronounced dead on the scene. The northbound lane of US49 remained closed as officials cleared the scene and began investigations. The incident is still under investigation.
