Fatal Accidents Strike Forrest County and South Pontotoc

A pedestrian was killed in an auto collision with a Mississippi Highway Patrol vehicle on US49 in Forrest County, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. and the woman was pronounced dead on the scene. The northbound lane of US49 remained closed as officials cleared the scene and began investigations. The incident is still under investigation.
