"Psychosocial Therapies and Mindfulness for Menopausal Symptom Relief"
Research suggests that talking therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBI) could help women going through menopause by improving their quality of life and reducing symptoms such as depression and anxiety. The study found that these therapies had a medium to large effect on quality of life and a small but positive impact on anxiety and depression. While the research does not undermine the importance of hormone replacement therapy (HRT), it offers another approach that could also bring benefits, especially for women who may not be suitable candidates for HRT.
