
Match.com Date Leads to Alleged Murder-for-Hire Plot
A woman from Tennessee has been arrested for allegedly hiring a hitman on the dark web to kill the wife of a man she met on Match.com. Melody Sasser paid $9,750 in Bitcoin to have the woman killed, according to federal court documents. The intended victim was alerted to the threat by Homeland Security Investigations, and Sasser was identified as a possible suspect. The investigation revealed that Sasser had purchased Bitcoin with cash on four occasions at a Coinhub ATM in Knoxville.
