Match.com Date Attempts to Hire Hitman to Kill Man's Wife

Melody Sasser, a former employee of Pilot Flying J truck stop chain, allegedly tried to hire a hitman to kill the wife of a man she met on Match.com. Sasser stalked the wife using a fitness app and sent her location updates to a bogus murder-for-hire service she found on the dark web. The scam site, called Online Killers Market, was discovered by foreign law enforcement, who notified the Department of Homeland Security. Sasser wired $9,750 to the site, but the hit never happened. She faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
