Astronomers Discover Ultra-Light 'Cotton Candy' Planet WASP-193b
Astronomers have discovered WASP-193b, a planet larger than Jupiter but with a density similar to cotton candy, challenging existing planetary formation theories. This "puffy Jupiter" is 50% bigger than Jupiter but only a tenth as dense, making it an anomaly among over 5,500 known exoplanets. Further analysis, especially of its atmosphere, is needed to understand its unique characteristics.
