Google Fi has updated its device protection plan, switching to Asurion as the provider for most phones shipped after July 14, 2025, and now allowing up to two loss or theft claims within 12 months, an increase from one. The plan covers accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and theft or loss (excluding New York), with various service fees depending on the device.
