Virginia Tech Firm Fined for 'Whites Only' Job Ad
Arthur Grand Technologies, a Virginia-based IT services firm, has been fined by the DOJ for a discriminatory job posting seeking "whites only" candidates. The company blamed a disgruntled employee for the post, but the DOJ found it violated the Immigration and Nationality Act. Arthur Grand must pay $7,500 in civil penalties and $31,000 in compensation, and has agreed to provide training for its recruiting staff.
