Author John Scalzi is seeking a freelance researcher with experience in physics and astronomy to generate data for his upcoming novel. The gig will require intensive research at the outset and the researcher will need to remain on call for the remainder of the writing process. A masters or PhD in astronomy, astrophysics or physics is preferred, but an experienced science journalist with a working knowledge of these fields will also be considered. The job is confidential and pays $75/hr with a minimum of 10 hours and a maximum of 20 hours. Applications are due by April 11th.
