
Swedish Man Sentenced for 2015 Islamic State Killing of Jordanian Pilot
A Swedish man, Osama Krayem, previously convicted for attacks in Europe, was sentenced to life in prison in Sweden for his involvement in the 2014 murder of Jordanian pilot Lt Moaz al-Kasasbeh by ISIS in Syria, with the court recognizing his active participation in the killing. Krayem, already serving sentences for the Paris and Brussels attacks, was found guilty of serious war crimes and terrorist offenses related to the execution of the pilot, and the court awarded compensation to the victim's family.
