Louvre heist suspects admit partial guilt; jewels still missing
Two suspects in their thirties, with criminal records, partially admitted involvement in the October Louvre heist where €88m worth of French crown jewels were stolen. The suspects used power tools to break into the museum, and the jewels remain unrecovered. Authorities suspect the gang may be larger than the four caught on CCTV, and efforts continue to recover the stolen items. Security has been heightened at French cultural sites since the incident.
