The Coachella Valley Firebirds defeated the Hershey Bears 4-0 in Game 2 of the Calder Cup Finals, taking a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven-game series. Joey Daccord recorded his second consecutive shutout, becoming the first goaltender to do so since 1939. Jesper Froden scored his second goal of the series on the powerplay, while the Firebirds scored four times in the second period. The Bears have won 11 of their 23 Calder Cup appearances, while the Firebirds are playing in their first-ever season.
