Jan. 6 Rally Organizers Concealed Capitol March Plan, Government Report Reveals
Women for America First, the pro-Trump group that organized the "Save America" rally on January 6, 2021, intentionally lied to federal officials about President Donald J. Trump's plans to have his supporters march to the Capitol, according to a new inspector general investigation. The report found that the organization repeatedly denied to the National Park Service that there would be a march, while privately planning for one. Text messages and emails revealed that the organizers knew about the march but concealed their intentions. This report adds to the evidence that Trump and his supporters planned in advance to direct the crowds to Capitol Hill and worked to hide their intentions.
