False election claims from Trump rally spill over into Virginia legislative campaigns.

Some Republican candidates running for the Virginia legislature are still pushing former President Donald Trump's false claims of a rigged 2020 election as an important campaign selling point heading into Tuesday's primary. At least six Republican candidates for the General Assembly attended Trump’s “Stop the Steal” rally or the subsequent march to the Capitol. Most of the Virginia statehouse candidates who attended the Jan. 6 rally or march said that if Republicans can win majorities in both chambers, they would push to roll back voting changes enacted by Democrats.
