The new Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha complexes in India will feature hand-crafted carpets with peacock and lotus motifs created by OBEETEE, a 102-year-old premium manufacturer of hand-knotted carpets. The carpets were designed to showcase India's cultural history and beliefs, with the Lok Sabha carpet featuring peacock motifs and the Rajya Sabha carpet showcasing lotus motifs. Each motif, color choice, and pattern was carefully selected to create a harmonious and visually striking representation of India's identity within the halls. The carpets were crafted in Mirzapur and measure up to 17,500 square feet each.
