
Mark Dion emerges victorious as Portland's new mayor in ranked-choice runoff
Mark Dion has been elected as the new mayor of Portland after a close race and ranked-choice tabulation. Dion secured 51.5% of the vote, while his opponent, Andrew Zarro, received 48.5%. Dion's top priority as mayor will be addressing the homeless crisis in the city. The new city council members, including Dion, will be sworn in on December 4th.
