Denver CEO Takes Drastic Action to Address Homelessness Crisis

A Denver businessman dumped human feces found outside his business on the steps of the Denver City and Council building, demanding action on the city's homeless crisis. Jon Caldara, president of the Independence Institute think tank, claimed that homeless people defecate outside his business regularly and called on others to do the same as an act of civil disobedience. Denver Mayor Mike Johnston aims to find housing for over 1,000 homeless people by the end of 2023. Caldara argued that the issue is not solely an affordable housing crisis but also a drug and mental health crisis, suggesting that those in need should be brought to jail for forced assistance.
