The compound, closely related to the psychoactive chemical in marijuana, is little-researched, and its use was found to be higher in states without legal marijuana markets. Concerns arise due to the lack of research on its effects, potential risks on the developing adolescent brain, and the lack of product uniformity. Experts call for legislative action to address the availability of delta-8 products to adolescents.
