The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced Mike Holmgren, Sterling Sharpe, Maxie Baughan, Jim Tyrer, and Ralph Hay as finalists for the Class of 2025. Holmgren, a coaching candidate, led the Packers to a Super Bowl win and the Seahawks to another Super Bowl appearance. Sharpe, a senior candidate, was a top NFL receiver before a neck injury ended his career. Baughan, also a senior candidate, was a nine-time Pro Bowler linebacker. Tyrer, another senior candidate, was a notable offensive tackle but his tragic death may affect his selection. Hay, credited with helping form the NFL, rounds out the list.
