
Intel Co-Founder and 'Moore's Law' Author Gordon Moore Dies at 94.
Gordon Moore, the co-founder of Intel and pioneer of the tech industry, has passed away at the age of 94. Moore is best known for his observation known as Moore's Law, which predicted that the number of transistors on an integrated circuit would double every year. He was also a member of the "traitorous eight" who left Shockley Semiconductor to form Fairchild Semiconductor, and later founded Intel with Robert Noyce. Moore's philanthropic efforts included establishing the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, which has donated over $5.1 billion to charitable causes.
