Gordon E. Moore, co-founder of Intel and creator of Moore's Law, has died at the age of 94. Moore was a pioneer in the creation of the integrated circuit and helped put the silicon in Silicon Valley. He was known for his blend of technical and financial risk-taking, which guided Intel to become one of the greatest technological powerhouses of the 20th century.
