NJ Probes Bird Flu Outbreak as Geese Die Across Gloucester County Parks
New Jersey officials are investigating a suspected bird flu outbreak after large numbers of dead or dying geese were found in Gloucester County parks, including Pitman’s Betty Park and Alcyon Park (both closed). Authorities estimate 50–75 suspected cases at that Pitman location, with Sicklerville also under review; officials say the avian flu poses little risk to humans and will provide more details on Wednesday.
